ONE GATE Pyramids View INN

One Gate suits couples and small groups who want a suite with a balcony facing the pyramids, about a kilometre from the plateau, and who care more about the room than about hotel facilities. It does not suit budget travellers or families who need an extra bed or a cot, and on our dates it was only sold through third-party offers.

Why stay here

  • Very high scores across the boardIt scores 9.4 on Booking.com from 142 reviews (checked 12 Oct 2026). Every sub-score is 9.3 or more, with cleanliness at 9.7 and comfort at 9.6, among the highest in Giza.
  • Balconies that face the pyramidsThe hotel lists balconies with a pyramids view, and the listing gives about 1.1 km to the pyramids. That is much nearer than the hotels further out in Giza, and the view is the main reason to pay more here.
  • Suites rather than standard roomsThere are no plain doubles: the room list starts with a suite and goes up to a deluxe suite, a quadruple with a hot tub and a studio with its own private pool. For a couple who wants space or privacy, that is unusual this close to the plateau.
  • Well placed for both big sightsThe listing gives about 2 km to the Grand Egyptian Museum, so you can do the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum on consecutive mornings with short taxi rides. Location scores 9.5.

Good to know before you book

  • Only partner offers on our datesWhen we checked, Booking.com showed only third-party partner offers for mid-January 2027, prepaid, at around €173 a night for two. That price may not reflect the hotel's own rate, so check other dates, read who you are paying and look at the cancellation terms.
  • No extra beds or cotsChildren of all ages are welcome, but there are no cots or extra beds. For more than two people, book the quadruple.
  • Cash at the propertyBooking.com lists cash as the payment method at the hotel, which matters for anything not covered by a prepaid rate. Keep Egyptian pounds for extras and transfers.
  • Few reviews, short check-outWith 142 reviews it has a shorter track record than the older inns nearby. Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out between 11:00 and 11:30. Free Wi-Fi is listed, but there is no Wi-Fi sub-score yet to judge it by. Pets are not allowed.

Rooms

Couples choose between the suite and the deluxe suite; both suit a stay of two or three nights by the pyramids. The studio with private pool is the one to pick if you want a pool to yourself, rare among the Giza hotels in this guide; check the photos and the rate details before you book, as on our dates it was sold through partner offers.

For three or four people there is the quadruple with mountain view and hot tub. Since there are no extra beds, it is the only option for families or friends travelling together. The hotel lists room service, a terrace, a hot tub and currency exchange; check whether breakfast is included in your rate.

Getting there and around

From Cairo International Airport

Giza is on the far side of the city, roughly an hour to an hour and a half by road depending on traffic. The hotel lists an airport transfer; ask about the price. Our guide to getting from Cairo airport to your hotel covers the other options.

From Sphinx International Airport

Sphinx airport is west of Giza on the Cairo–Alexandria desert road and usually a much shorter drive than Cairo International.

To the sights

The pyramids are about 1.1 km and the Grand Egyptian Museum about 2 km away. For the main entrance to the plateau, ask your driver for the visitor centre on the Cairo–Fayoum road; see visiting the Pyramids of Giza. Downtown is an hour or more in traffic.

How it compares

One Gate against a newer guest house between the pyramids and the museum, the other expensive option in Giza and a mid-range hotel near the Sphinx.
