Noya By Dhara Hotels

Noya by Dhara suits couples who want a quiet villa hotel with a pool and garden near the Grand Egyptian Museum and are happy to take taxis everywhere. It does not suit travellers watching their budget, since on our dates it cost several times more than other well-rated places in Giza, nor anyone who wants to step out to cafés or the pyramids on foot.

Why stay here

  • High scores in every categoryIt scores 9.4 on Booking.com from 58 reviews (checked 12 Oct 2026). Staff is the best sub-score at 9.7, followed by cleanliness at 9.6 and comfort and facilities at 9.5.
  • A pool and gardenThe hotel lists an outdoor pool, a hot tub and a garden, which few hotels in this part of Giza have. After a morning on the plateau or in the museum, that gives you somewhere to spend a hot afternoon.
  • Close to the Grand Egyptian MuseumThe listing gives about 2.4 km to the Grand Egyptian Museum, a short taxi ride. The rooftop terrace has a view towards the pyramids, which are about 4.9 km away.
  • Calm, away from the plateauThe hotel is on the Cairo–Alexandria desert road, away from the crowded streets and the touts around the plateau entrances. For travellers who find Nazlet el-Samman too hectic, that is the main draw.

Good to know before you book

  • A very high price for the areaIt was around €340 a night for two in mid-January 2027 when we checked, with free cancellation and payment at the property. That is about twice the next most expensive Giza hotel in this guide and several times the price of well-rated inns by the Sphinx. Prices change, so compare on your own dates.
  • Few reviews so farThe 9.4 comes from only 58 reviews, so the score can still move more than at hotels with hundreds or thousands of reviews.
  • A taxi for everythingNothing is within walking distance: not the pyramids, not the museum, not restaurants. Location is its lowest sub-score at 9.1. The hotel lists a shuttle; ask how it works and what it costs.
  • Cash, but bring a cardBooking.com lists cash as the payment method, yet check-in requires photo ID and a credit card. Bring both, tell the hotel your arrival time, and see money, tipping and haggling for getting pounds.

Rooms

There are three room types. The superior king with city view is the entry point. The deluxe twin with balcony and pool view is the one to pick if you want to look over the pool and garden rather than the road. The executive suite is the largest option.

Families should note the policy: children from 13 pay the adult rate, under-18s can only stay with a parent or guardian, and when we checked a cot cost US$10 a night and an extra bed US$20. Breakfast is continental, and there is a restaurant and room service.

Getting there and around

From Cairo International Airport

Giza is on the far side of the city, roughly an hour to an hour and a half or more by road depending on traffic. Our guide to getting from Cairo airport to your hotel has the options.

From Sphinx International Airport

Sphinx airport is further out along the same Cairo–Alexandria desert road, so it is usually a much shorter drive than from Cairo International. If you can fly into Sphinx, it suits this hotel well.

To the sights

The Grand Egyptian Museum is about 2.4 km and the pyramids about 4.9 km away; for the plateau, ask your driver for the visitor centre on the Cairo–Fayoum road. Central Cairo is an hour or more in traffic. See Cairo in 3 days for planning.

How it compares

Can I walk from Noya by Dhara to the Grand Egyptian Museum?

Not really. The listing gives about 2.4 km on the desert road; a taxi is the practical way, and the pyramids are about 4.9 km away.

Yes. The hotel lists an outdoor pool, a hot tub and a garden, and the deluxe twin rooms look onto the pool.

Why is it so expensive?

When we checked, it was around €340 a night for two in mid-January 2027, far above other Giza hotels in this guide. You are paying for a small villa hotel with a pool and garden; whether that is worth it depends on how much time you plan to spend there.

Booking.com lists cash as the payment method, but you need photo ID and a credit card at check-in. Bring both.

What is its score?

9.4 on Booking.com from 58 reviews (checked 12 Oct 2026), with staff at 9.7 and location at 9.1.
