Why stay here
- A pool at a budget priceWhen we checked, a night for two in mid-January 2027 was around €44, price tier 1. It is the only budget place in our Aswan list with its own pool, plus a pool bar, a garden and a rooftop with a view of the Nile.
- Staff and value are the standoutsIt scores 8.7 on Booking.com from 1,312 reviews (checked 11 Oct 2026). Staff scores 9.6 and value for money 9.1, and cleanliness 9.1: a lot of guests feel they got more than they paid for.
- Small and quietThe host describes a three-floor villa with only four bedrooms, in a residential area on the East Bank facing the islands of the Saluga and Ghazal protected area. You will not share the pool with a coach group.
- Practical extrasA shared kitchen, laundry, luggage storage, daily housekeeping and an airport shuttle are listed. The kitchen is useful for longer stays or for families who want to cook simple meals.
Good to know before you book
- Location is the weak scoreLocation scores 7.5, the lowest of any hotel in this guide. The villa is in the Nasr City area, south of the centre, about 1.1 km from the Nubian Museum in a straight line and around 2.5 km from the centre by the host's own figure. Plan on taxis for dinner, the souq and the station.
- Narrow check-in windowThe listed check-in is between 12:00 and 14:00, and check-out between 10:00 and 11:00. If you arrive on an evening train or a late flight, message the host before booking to agree an arrival time.
- Four rooms book upWith only four bedrooms, popular dates go early, especially from December to February. Book well ahead and keep your confirmation handy.
- Wi-Fi and policiesWi-Fi scores 8.1, the weakest category after location. Children pay the adult rate from 18, so younger ones are charged less; pets are not allowed.

Rooms
There are four room types: a double or twin with private bathroom, a deluxe king, a deluxe double with Nile view and a deluxe double with balcony and Nile view.
The two Nile-view rooms are the ones to aim for, and the balcony room is the pick if it is free on your dates. The other rooms look onto the garden or the street, but everyone shares the rooftop, which has the river view in any case. Couples travelling together can book two rooms and have most of the villa to themselves.

Getting there and around
From Aswan airport
The airport is about 14 km away in a straight line, on the West Bank beyond the High Dam. A taxi usually takes roughly 25 to 30 minutes; the villa lists an airport shuttle, so ask the price when you book.
From Aswan railway station
The station is about 3.6 km north in a straight line. A taxi takes around 15 minutes; send the driver the pin from the booking page, as this is a residential street rather than a well-known landmark.
To the sights
The Nubian Museum is about 1.1 km away and the Unfinished Obelisk about 1.6 km. Philae (about 5.2 km) and the High Dam (about 11 km) are closer than from the centre. For the Corniche, Elephantine and felucca trips, take a taxi north. See Aswan in 2 days for a plan.
How it compares
Basma is the conventional hotel with a pool nearby, at about five times the price when we checked; Fadl Kato and Queen House are budget guest houses on Elephantine Island with better location scores but no pool.

Questions
Is Aswan Nile Palace a hotel?
It is a small villa guest house with four bedrooms, a pool, a garden and a rooftop. Expect a host rather than a reception desk with a big team.
Can I walk to the centre of Aswan?
Not comfortably: the centre is around 2.5 km away by the host's figure. The Nubian Museum, about 1.1 km in a straight line, is the nearest sight you could walk to.
What if I arrive late?
The listed check-in window is 12:00 to 14:00. Contact the host through the booking platform before you book if you will arrive outside it.
Does it have a Nile view?
Two of the four rooms have Nile views, and the rooftop looks over the river towards the islands of the First Cataract.
Is it good for families?
The pool, garden and shared kitchen help, and under-18s pay less than adults under the listed policy. With only four rooms, check the bed set-up carefully.
Is it good value?
Guests rate value for money 9.1. At around €44 a night when we checked, with a pool, it is one of the cheapest ways to have a swim in Aswan.
