Pyramids sunrise inn

Pyramids Sunrise Inn suits couples and families who want a larger, well-rated hotel on the Giza side with a garden, a pyramid-view terrace and an airport transfer in the rate. It does not suit travellers who want to walk to the Sphinx gate, since the plateau is a taxi ride away.

Why stay here

  • A large number of good reviewsIt scores 9.1 on Booking.com from 1,031 reviews (checked 12 Oct 2026), one of the largest review counts of the Giza hotels in this guide. Staff is its best sub-score at 9.6, and value for money reaches 9.2.
  • Rooms sold by viewThe room list separates garden-view rooms from pyramids-view rooms, and some of the pyramids-view types add a balcony. That makes it easy to book the view by name instead of hoping for it. There is also a terrace facing the pyramids for everyone.
  • Kind to families on priceChildren of all ages are welcome and only pay as adults from 18. Cots are free up to age 4, and when we checked an extra bed cost US$10 a night for ages 4 to 12 and US$15 for 13 to 17. There are triples and a family room with a balcony.
  • A rate that covers the arrivalThe cheapest rate we found, around €85 a night for two in mid-January 2027 when we checked, included breakfast, free cancellation and a one-way airport transfer. Prices change, so check your own dates and what the rate includes.

Good to know before you book

  • Not within walking distanceThe hotel is on El Mansoureya Road, and its listing gives about 3.7 km to the Sphinx and 4.8 km to the pyramids. You will need a taxi or ride-hailing car for the plateau and for the Grand Egyptian Museum, and the pyramid view is a distant one.
  • Payment is in cashBooking.com lists cash as the payment method at the property. Plan an ATM stop before you arrive, or check what your rate says about prepayment. Our guide to money, tipping and haggling has tips on getting pounds.
  • Wi-Fi is the weakest scoreFree Wi-Fi scores 8.3, clearly below the rest of its sub-scores, which are all 8.9 or higher. If you need to work online, have a local SIM or eSIM as a backup.
  • Unusual check-out hoursCheck-in is from 14:00 to midnight. Check-out is listed from 04:00 to 12:00, which is handy if you leave for a dawn flight or an early train south. Pets are not allowed.

Rooms

Couples choose between the deluxe double or twin with garden view, the deluxe double or twin with pyramids view and the same room with a balcony and pyramids view. If you came to Giza for the pyramids, the balcony version is the one to pick; the garden-view rooms are the cheaper way in if you will spend the day out. The deluxe king suite adds space for a longer stay.

For three people there are triples with garden view and triples with a balcony and pyramids view, and for families a family room with a balcony. Because children only pay adult rates from 18 and extra beds are cheap, a family of four can often fit in one room; compare the total with two rooms before you book.

Getting there and around

From Cairo International Airport

Plan on roughly an hour to an hour and a half by road, depending on traffic, as Giza is on the opposite side of the city. The rate we saw included a one-way transfer; confirm your flight details with the hotel. Our guide to getting from Cairo airport to your hotel covers the other options.

From Sphinx International Airport

Sphinx airport is on the western side of Giza and usually a much shorter drive than Cairo International. Ask the hotel whether the transfer in your rate covers it.

To the sights

The Sphinx is about 3.7 km and the pyramids about 4.8 km away, so take a taxi and ask for the visitor centre on the Cairo–Fayoum road, the main entrance since 2025. The Grand Egyptian Museum is a short drive too. Downtown and Islamic Cairo are an hour or more in traffic. See visiting the Pyramids of Giza.

How it compares

Pyramids Sunrise Inn against two Giza hotels at a similar price and one guest house near the Grand Egyptian Museum. Look at the distance to the Sphinx and the child policy before you choose.

Questions

Can I walk from Pyramids Sunrise Inn to the pyramids?

Not comfortably. The hotel's listing gives about 3.7 km to the Sphinx and 4.8 km to the pyramids, along busy roads, so a taxi is the practical choice.

Do the rooms have a pyramid view?

Some do. Book a room type with 'pyramids view' in its name, ideally one with a balcony; the garden-view rooms do not promise it. The terrace also faces the pyramids.

Do children stay free?

Children are welcome at any age and only pay as adults from 18. Cots are free up to 4, and extra beds had a small charge when we checked (US$10 to US$25 a night depending on age).

Can I pay by card?

Booking.com lists cash as the payment method at the hotel, so bring Egyptian pounds or check whether your rate is prepaid.

Is airport transfer included?

The cheapest rate we found for mid-January 2027 included a one-way airport transfer and breakfast. Other rates may not, so read the rate details.

What is its score?

9.1 on Booking.com from 1,031 reviews (checked 12 Oct 2026), with staff at 9.6 and Wi-Fi at 8.3.
