Why stay here
- Scores that rarely dropIt scores 9.5 on Booking.com from 842 reviews (checked 11 Oct 2026) and 4.7 on Google Maps from 259 reviews. Cleanliness, comfort, facilities, location and value are all between 9.5 and 9.6, and staff reach 9.7. Only Wi-Fi falls below that line.
- Between the ferry and the tombsIt sits by the river in Al Bairat, one of the village areas facing Luxor Temple, about 0.7 km away in a straight line across the water. The public ferry docks nearby, so the East Bank is a short crossing, while the Colossi of Memnon are about 3.1 km away and the Valley of the Kings about 5.4 km.
- Rooms for groups and familiesBeyond doubles and twins, the hotel lists a junior suite and deluxe triple and quadruple rooms, which is unusual at this size. Some units have a kitchenette, balcony or dining area, which helps on longer stays.
- Meals and help on siteThere is a restaurant with halal and vegetarian options, a bar, room service and a sun terrace. The hotel also lists massage, bicycle rental, laundry, luggage storage and a 24-hour front desk.
Good to know before you book
- Wi-Fi is the weak pointWi-Fi scores 8.0, well below the rest of its sub-scores. If you need to upload large files or join video calls, plan on a local SIM with data as a backup.
- Mid-range price for a guest houseAt around €136 a night for two in mid-January 2027 when we checked, it costs about the same as the big Corniche resorts and three times the budget guest houses next door. You pay for the scores and the location, not for a spa or a large pool. Prices change, so check your dates.
- Getting across the riverThe ferry is cheap and frequent in the daytime, but late at night or with heavy bags a car over the road bridge is easier, and that is a much longer route. Ask the hotel about transfers before you arrive.
- Children and petsFrom 18, guests are charged as adults; under that age, check the rate for your room when you book. Pets are not allowed. Check-in runs from 14:00 to midnight and check-out is until 12:00.

Rooms
For a couple, the superior king or superior queen are the usual picks; the deluxe double starts at about 15 m², so choose a superior room if space matters. The twin room suits friends travelling together.
For families or small groups, the deluxe triple and deluxe quadruple avoid booking two rooms, and the junior suite adds space. If a kitchenette or balcony matters, check that the room you pick lists it, as not all do.

Getting there and around
From Luxor airport
The airport is on the East Bank, about 8 km in a straight line but roughly 25 km by road, because cars cross on the bridge south of town. Expect about 40 minutes in normal traffic. The hotel offers a paid airport shuttle, which is the easiest option.
From Luxor railway station
The station is on the East Bank, about 1.5 km away in a straight line. With light luggage, take a short taxi to the public ferry landing, cross the Nile and walk or take a tuk-tuk to the hotel; the landing has moved over the years, so ask the hotel where it docks now. With heavy bags, a taxi over the bridge is simpler but longer.
To the sights
The Colossi of Memnon, Medinet Habu, Hatshepsut's temple and the Valley of the Kings are a short drive, roughly 15 to 25 minutes. Luxor Temple, the Luxor Museum and the souq are a ferry ride across; Karnak is a short taxi ride further north on the East Bank. See Luxor in 3 days.
